The Accommodation
The beautiful oak panelled drawing room has a feature fireplace, gas fire 42 inch flat screen TV & DVD/Video. The conservatory overlooks the landscaped gardens and sea.

The fantastic farmhouse kitchen is brand new with gas 4 oven Aga, conventional Rangemaster electric double oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge.
There are seven good sized bedrooms overlooking the gardens/sea, five have ensuite facilities and the other two bedrooms share a large family bathroom.
Hardcragg has six modern luxury bathrooms with the latest power showers. There are two baths tubs and plenty of hot water for a relaxing soak.
There is a mahogany 3/4 size snooker table for adult guests to enjoy during their stay. Please note children must be supervised at all times if playing.
The secure pet friendly 3/4 acre landscaped gardens has a large patio overlooking the sea and the town with a quality gas BBQ, dinning tables and chairs to seat 14.

Hardcragg Hall is a unique experience, offering luxury 5 star self catering accommodation. This spacious property, which sleeps up to 14 in 7 bedrooms and has 6 bathrooms, is perfect for groups and families seeking larger holiday cottages for their Lake District holiday. The Hall makes an excellent choice for those celebrating a special occasion, be it a birthday, anniversary, intimate celebration or simply the annual family get together.
Historic Grade II Listed Manor House in peaceful location
Hardcragg Hall has welcomed visitors for over 400 years, including Beatrix Potter who was a frequent guest to the Hall. Oliver Cromwell was also reputed to have visited the Hall between military excursions.
Guest can enjoy the peace and tranquillity the house has to offer the moment they cross the threshold. Dating back to 1563 this grade II listed country Manor house has oak panelled rooms, mullioned windows and log fires. It sits in its own peaceful ¾ acre garden, secluded in the centre of Grange over Sands.
Spacious accommodation
The Hall has several spacious reception rooms that interconnect, including a dining room, drawing room, breakfast room, snooker room and impressive entrance hall. The classic farmhouse kitchen boasts a four oven Aga, gas hob, and double oven. With a utility room equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer and bags more space.
Lake District location
Ideally located on the edge of the Southern Lake district, Grange over Sands is a secret gem. The principle sea side town of South Lakeland, it is a perfect location for scenic fell and woodland walks, together with a mile long traffic free promenade overlooking the sands of Morecambe Bay. There are 2 golf courses, award winning cafes, butchers, bakeries, shops, pubs, restaurants, banks, post office and railway station all within minutes walk.
The historic 12th Century Cartmel priory is just over the hill and if your interests are more equestrian, the ever popular Cartmel races are run several times a year. Alternatively why not visit the Michelin starred restaurant or the local real ale pubs.

Linen Luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen and soft fluffy white towels are provided (1 hand and 1 bath size towel per person) with complementary toiletries. |
Catering Catering service is available at an extra cost for you and your party for a celebratory dinner or a fully catered option. Please enquire when booking. |
Children The hall has two high chairs and two cots for infants. There is a wide selection of children’s games, books, films and toys. |
Entertainment Hardcragg has four TVs including a wide screen 42 inch LCD TV with DVD / Video players. There is an extensive film library, plenty of books, games and three CD music centres. |
Pets Hardcragg Hall does accept up to two well behaved pets. There is a £15 charge per week/part week for each pet. Pets are not allowed into the bedrooms or on the furniture. |
Disabled Access Hardcragg Hall has level access from the car park into the property but does not have any ground floor bedrooms or bathrooms with disabled facilities. |
Heating Hardcragg Hall is warm with modern thermostatically controlled gas central heating. There is a large woodburning stove so guests can enjoy a real fire. |
Games Room There is a quality 3/4 size snooker table for adult guests to enjoy during their stay. Please note children must be supervised at all times if playing. |

Nearest Airport The nearest major airport is Manchester International which is 85 miles from Hardcragg Hall or about a 1.5 hour drive away. |
Nearest Bus Stop There is a bus stop at the train station which is a pleasant 10 minute walk away along the promenade. |
Nearest Train Station Grange over Sands train station (with a direct link to Manchester Airport) is only 10 minutes walk from Hardcragg. Oxenholme station is 12 miles away. |
By car Grange over Sands is well signed from the main A590, which is mostly dual carriageway linking to the M6. |
Other Information
Smoking Policy The Hall operates a strict no-smoking policy within the house. There is a comfortable smokers area on the patio overlooking the sea and gardens. |
