Holker Garden Festival

The Holker Garden Festival celebrates the best of gardens, countryside and food and promises an absolute riot of colour and fragrances. Attractions include displays by leading horticulturalists, show gardens, floral marquees, food stalls and marquees from leading real-food producers.

Absence and Presence in the Severn Studio: An exhibition of recent work by this up and coming young artist Stephen Maxwell Campbell. Oils depicting a range of subjects from pastel floral studies to bold landscapes and urban scenes.
Loving the Unloved: John Ruskin's Thistles in the Blue Gallery: Ruskin developed an eccentric, often mystical, attitude to plants which is nowhere more distinctive than in his interpretation of thistles and other spiky plants.
Model Railway Exhibition, Leisure Centre, Kendal

Kendal Model Railway Club 2012 Exhibition with minimum of ten working layouts in a variety of scales. Also trade stands selling a range of goods for the modeller, preservation society and special interest stands.
Gardeners Question Time, Grange-over-Sands

The popular Radio 4 series Gardeners Question Time is being recorded at the Victoria Hall in Grange-over-Sands. The BBC were invited by The Friends of Park Road Gardens to record this long-running gardening programme in Grange.
